Homestuck Re-read Part 65: GAME OVER.
Assuming everything has worked out, you should currently be seeing this update displayed on my new website design and running on my new server software. Expect some details about it to follow. Sorry about going MIA for this week while they did the Problem Sleuth re-release but I really wanted to get this new software into a stable enough state that I'd feel comfortable using it. Now I can focus on implementing everything else as incremental updates and actually work on new and interesting things without feeling guilty.
Anyway. Today is a special update, in that today we are going to get to [S] GAME OVER. At which point, there will be approximately 1,226 pages of Homestuck left, slightly less then 15.1% will remain. As new year draws closer, I have a feeling we're going to have Act 7 and the credits on that day. Which is a bit odd personally, since when I finished Homestuck for the first time it was also on new years, approximately 30 minutes into 2017.
Anyway, it is time for
HOMESTUCK.
We are introduced to the fruits of Caliborn's labour. Our favorite trolls have been drawn for us. And a salty array of mscellaneous bitches. All nicely organized into a workable spritesheet that is worthless now.
He has learned the way of the manga. Using his new artistic skill to render The 'Alpha male' and Karkat. But instead of also rendering some women he has embraced the latent homosexuality of Davekat. It is magical in it's forbiddenality.
Don't be fooled however, he does have an array of female OCs that he has drawn. He even has a Vriska.
We then are treated to his self insert OC. He's busy working up a wife ('his woman') for the guy too when we see John zap in behind Caliborn. We are treated to another intense staredown between them as we wittle away the pages before GAME OVER. We even get a little bit of a confrontation from John. Caliborn monologues menacingly while approaching Egbert.
[S] GAME OVER.
I forgot how cool the art is in Game over! It is also horrifying how quickly just, everything went wrong! Everyone is either dead (Karkat, Kanaya, Jake, Jane, Dave, Gamzee) or badly wounded (Rose, Terezi). Although we did get to see John beat the shit out of Caliborn, which is a positive.
